Esoteric Astrology: Aries Balancing
Esoteric Aries: Your Key To Relationship.
Merging your sense of Self with 'the other'.
Your opposite sign is Libra, the color green, the sign of 'the other', and merging with 'the other' is only possible if you feel yourself as being separate from others..
Esoterically, there really is no 'other', for all is one. Others are merely a mirror - and understanding that is the lesson for the sign Aries.
The dichotomy for an Aries is that all personal motivation is based on values that others admire and projected upon them. In fact, our whole sense of self (no matter what sign) is devised by what others value in us, and it is the value of 'others' that have determined our motivation - and since we tend to only associate with people that agree with us, we never really have the opportunity to transform by coming into disagreement with another.
So any "real" agreement is impossible without some kind of personality transformation. And that is the most difficult task for an Aries; for, if an Aries' identity is based on what others value, and motivated by what others' value, then any 'agreement' is essentially a 'disguise' to remain separate. And since for an Aries, compromise usually means suppressing individuality, (which is the motivating force for an Aries), then compromise would feel like a dissolution of the sense of self, which to an Aries would create great inner conflict, and would eventually be expressed as............? (you fill in the blanks).
True merging or 'agreement' can not take place without the destruction of intellect or 'judgment'. Intellect requires conflict and destruction to transform (or to change) and loosen its grip. It is only through the butting of heads, that exhaustion ensues and surrender takes place. And although this results in a loss of strength, it is the beginning of the dissolution of the self. It is in this weakened state, that a momentary surrendering takes place, and its' resulting expansion of consciousness.
True merging becomes a heart issue - not understood by the intellect. It takes a psychochemical change to make the shift; brought about first through the butting of heads, resulting in greater mental balance, which alone acts as a subconscious signal, that eventually shifts the sense of self through the chemical process, out of the conflict experienced thru separateness, into the balance, transformation, and a true merging with others - viewing life with a feeling of all inclusiveness!
